Where Do I Wish to Make a Difference?

Every Wednesday, LifeCoach Jamie Ridler asks one probing question which is designed to encourage inner work.    Truth be told, I first participated in this exercise as a way to fill my blog when I didn't have anything particular to write about.   But what started out as mere activity as evolved into examination.   Jamie's questions have become powerful prompts for me to look deeper into myself and answer important questions about my life.   It has been a surprising adventure and many things I've "wishcasted" have manifested in real life!

Today Jamie asks us where we wish to make a difference:

1
I wish to make a difference in the lives of my children by loving them unconditionally and encouraging them to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.  For years I considered myself a selfish mother because I chose to follow my passions rather than being a traditional, stay-at-home mom or the type of mom who was there everyday when they get home from school.   My wish is that my boys have been raised by a living example of following your bliss and they will do the same.

2. I wish that anyone who sits in my classroom is transformed in their knowledge and enthusiasm for essential oils.
I wish to make a difference in the lives of my aromatherapy students by keeping my own knowledge and passion fresh and by being my authentic self.    I sometimes worry that my playful nature will get in the way of being taken seriously as an educator.  But I simply can't be any other way.   I am a high energy merrymaker who happens to adore everything about essential oils from the scientific to the vibrational.  I love it all and my wish is that my passion be passed on to my students.

As Liz wishes for herself, I so wish for her too. I too felt quite a bit of guilt with my children for some of my choices, but I know that my choices to give them more than I had growing up, was the best decision

We had very similar wishes! Nothing is more important than our children - you have set a wonderful example!

I'm sure you're already achieving these things!

As Liz wishes for herself, so do I lovingly wish for her as well.

Thank you for your heartfelt comment on my blog. x

As Liz wishes for herself, I wish for her also. Living your life full of passion and enthusiasm is the greatest gift you can give both to your boys and to your students. The world needs people who know what they love and are willing to share that knowledge and passion with others.

Oh oh my..what handsome boys!! What a stunning Mama. Liz I was the stay at home, homeschooling, girl scout leading mom for my first three girls...now I follow my bliss...I wish I had done it years ago..I really do!
As for being taken seriously by other adults as you teach...other proffessionals are way to serious and tend to bore the students to death...Let Fly with the fun girl..it makes you a better teacher!! Somehow this does not surprise me that you are fun in the classroom...sister!
Hugs to you hon, Sarah

As Liz wishes so I wish for her. I haven't played with wishcasting Wednesday for a while now and I miss it. The fact that you have been able to live your life and enjoy your passion is something that I'm sure made a positive impact in your children's life. I'm sure your passion also comes through in the classroom and your students are lucky to have a passionate teacher. I wish that I was able to follow my passions as you have.

Your sons are very lucky to have a mother who follows her bliss. It is such a vital lesson. So many of us are still trying to overcome the conditioning of being what our family and society have convinced us that we should be.
