When Gianluca was packing for college last week I kept bringing him oils to add to his paraphernalia. He refused every one. I'm not sure if this was an expression of his new independence or his fear of being the smelly dude in the dorm.
Finally, as we were an hour from walking out the door, he agreed to just one oil.
Which one do you think he accepted and why?
I'll reveal his choice tonight when we get back from a Scottish Festival we are attending (or tomorrow morning if The Bean has worn me down)!

i'm guessing he took the lavender to for calming. also, i love your current motto over there in the sidebar!
Patchouli? Seems woodsy and earthy.
I was going to guess the Lavendar, for I think it would remind him most of home ~ soothing, relaxing and make the dorm less stuffy.
And then there is the peppermint thing and needing to stay awake in class after long nights "studying."
But if he has listened to his mother, he would have chosen the tea tree oil, for it is the master of all oils, whose remedies cure anything from fungus (prevalent in dorm showers) to minor cuts (students still do use paper even with their computers) to respiratory/sinus/throat ailments (all part of the dorm room living). And it has an interesting smell.
It is, after all, the one oil you would choose if stranded on an island (yes, I just went back and reread June's post) so that's my guess (and signing off before I change my mind ~ again!).
I was going to say either tea-tree oil or lavender to remind him of you!
I know nothing! But I don't travel without my Bach's Rescue Remedy. My hubby has been dousing in Tree Tea Oil to treat his mosquito bites this summer...I'm so glad I like the smell.
Hmmm I wonder which one...I'm hoping not one that promotes sexual health!!!
