Congratulations Gianluca!

The last three days have been very busy with family activities. And I love it. And I'm happy that it's quiet again. Now that my children are older and independent, I am used to my "me" time and when it's compromised I get a bit cranky.

The recently hoopla was surrounding Gianluca and his high school graduation. The ceremony was last night and in my usual stoic fashion I blubbered throughout the entire ceremony. I'm not kidding. The woman sitting next to me even dug around in her purse and handed me a pack of tissues with that you-obviously-need-these-more-than-I-do smile.

He was handsome (he does resemble me after all)
He was funny (second place for class clown)
He was relieved when it was over (tally ho and onto the parties!)

And so ends a chapter in our lives...
...and another begins.

Thanks! I really am. This boy has been a pleasure from the day he was born.

Oh, it's official. I am old. I graduated in 1993. 16 long years ago. And now people born at the same time are graduating.

On a more positive note (ha!) he really is very cute, and tall, and looks like a great kid.

OK, VEG, my 20th reunion is in a few weeks...you're NOT old!

Plus also...hello Gianluca...you're well...hot! Maybe I will be the woman from "The Graduate." Never mind, I am married. Maybe that was all TMI!

How exciting, for you and your handsome boy (don't tell boyfriend I said that!)

VEG, you graduated in 1993 and you call yourself old? Honey, you're just warming up to old with a long way to go. And thank you, he is a nice kid and very funny. Oh, and we wants to be a writer :-)

They say you are only as old as you feel, right? Then I am 95.

A writer? That's awesome. Perhaps I should have thought of something more lucrative like that because apparently, Environmental Studies is not a money making (or job-producing) field. Hear that universe? Job, please.

WV: undempop - that has to have a dirty meaning of some sort.

we have 3 down 3 to go. It's not all bad. Although at the moment all 6 are still on the payroll, I just want to get them OFF! Then I'm ready to RETIRE to some ISLAND and drink something FRUITY and ALCOHOLIC...

Anyway, congrats to your son!

marinik: oh don't wish those precious years away mari! I hate the crybaby thing. It's not my fault. I have my astrological moon in cancer....
Bambi: Wow, 6 graduations...I would need serious drugs to get through all that. Kids do have a way of eating through house, home and wallet, don't they? Thanks!
